< BackMogollon Rim Winter Recreation : Coconino National Forest

Cinch Hook is a popular forest area for winter/snow activities. Parking is limited (65-80 vehicles) and fills up quickly. Roadside parking in other areas is limited by narrow and steep shoulders.

There are rules in place to enhance safety. Inflatables or Light-weight plastic sledding are the only devices permitted. No snowboards, skis, wood or metal sledding devices are allowed. Jump/ramp/berm building forbidden.

We hope to have a dumpster in place by mid-January. Until then, please "pack-it-in, pack-it-out". Portable toilets are available.

Location: Cinch Hook is located just 7.3 miles north of Strawberry. Strawberry is the closest town/services to Cinch Hook.
