Camping

Camping is a great way to escape the urban areas and enjoy the outdoor world of nature. Camping usually involves sleeping in a tent at either a campsite or along a trail. Camping provides a relatively inexpensive way to go on vacation, travel, and explore areas outside the usual tourist areas. Most camping sites are located in or near national and state parks. Because camping locations are located throughout wilderness areas, there are usually many other activities nearby. Hiking, climbing, biking, canoeing, rafting, and fishing are just a few of the activities commonly found near camping sites. While many camping sites are located close to roads, bathrooms, and other amenities, there are many other types of camping that bring you further away from civilization. Winter camping, backpack camping, and alpine camping to name just a few. All of these camping types require specialized equipment to suite the various climates and geography. The more hiking or backpacking involved usually requires more lightweight specialized camping equipment.
When going camping it is important to remember all of the proper equipment. This can be anything from a tent to sunscreen. Make sure to check the Camping Checklist we offer here to make sure you don't forget anything.
